Hello! My name is Tasha Brown, I am a professional Photographer based in Brampton, ON. As a young child, my Father introduced me to the world of Photography. I grew up frequenting his Portrait studio and vividly remember taking trips to his darkroom. At the age of 11 years old, I received my first camera and have naturally followed my Father’s footsteps ever since.
Even though my interest in photography continued to grow after taking a few classes in high school, I decided to pursue my love of storytelling by studying Scriptwriting in College, where I was soon thrust into the world of Independent Filmmaking. Being immersed in the independent Media Arts scene for more than a decade allowed me to develop my artistic voice, empowering me to collaborate with other creatives and write and direct several of my own short films, many of which have received funding from various Arts Councils.
In 2011, I was yearning for change and decided to explore my photographic interests further. Following the successful completion of Humber College's Creative Photography diploma program in 2018, I graduated with Honors and was presented with the Narvali Digital Photography Limited Award for Best Portrait Portfolio. I truly enjoy creating timeless imagery that captures the diverse beauty and uniqueness of humanity. With incredible attention to detail, I naturally have an eye for capturing the essence and simplicity of my subjects. My portrait work focuses primarily on beauty and fashion photography, however I also enjoy creating product images for brands and entrepreneurs when I’m not photographing people.
