Exciting news to share – “CHARMartistry Essential Eyes” is finally completed and we launched 2 days ago on my birthday! The journey behind this project is a tale in its own right. Having collaborated with Christine for the past few years, she approached me about collaborating on a book project which I decided to help out with.

Uncertain about where to begin in bringing the vision of a book to life, here we are closing out 2023, holding that very vision in our hands.
I took on dual responsibilities as both the Photographer and Book Designer for the project. As with any ambitious endeavor, obstacles inevitably arose. On the first day of our scheduled two-day shoot, I faced a setback when one of my strobe lights malfunctioned unexpectedly. This forced me to think on my feet and swiftly adapt my lighting setup to overcome the challenge, ultimately deviating from my original shooting plan.
I also shot all of the product images, some were captured on set and others in my home studio. Although I love shooting products, reflective objects always present a unique set of challenges, demanding strategic setups and longer post-editing times.

As for the design aspect, I embarked on unfamiliar territory. With no prior experience in book designing, it was a journey of trial and error. Yet, through with perseverance and determination, I navigated the complexities, and learned invaluable lessons along the way.
As a creative entrepreneur, the journey is not always smooth, but what I've discovered is it's about the "faith, determination, work ethic, communication, and collaborative mindsets of the entire team" that lead to success. A big shoutout to everyone who contributed!!
